People will tell you good photos come from good cameras. Others maintain that the photographer himself makes the difference. I say - why not both? Constantly changing weather conditions, split-second decisions and difficult scenery composition assicoated with serious shipspotting demand and deserve the very best on the market.
While the image quality in entry-level and midrange cameras has improved significantly over the years, you will have to see the difference to the professional models for yourself to realize just how far you can go with the right equipment.
Throughout the years I have invested more than time and effort into creating my maritime photo archive and - by extension - this website.
I spent many years taking pictures with a combination of Canon's professional DSLR cameras like the 1Dx, 5D Mark II/III and 5DsR combined with top-of-the-line L-grade lenses.
In February 2021 I went one step beyond and entered the world of drone photography with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. Together with the latest addition, the Mavic 3 Cine, this has enabled me to henceforth offer pictures from land, sea and air with some incredible angles and compositions I could only dream of before.
Currently, my arsenal consists of:

DJI Mavic 3 Cine |
